James A. Derksen, M.D.
Dr. James A. Derksen graduated from Wright State University School of Medicine and served as chief resident at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Derksen, Board Certified in Family Medicine, is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, the Miami Valley Academy of Family Physicians and the Montgomery County Medical Society.
Dr. Derksen has received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance in both their Heart/Stroke Recognition Program and in the Diabetic Physician Recognition Program. The programs were developed in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to recognize physicians who demonstrate that they provide high quality care for patients with diabetes and patients with cardiac conditions or who have had a stroke.
Dr. Derksen is a volunteer physician for Reach Out of Montgomery County and is the team physician for Carroll High School in Dayton, Ohio.
