Thomas W. Hirt, M.D.

As a family practitioner, Dr. Thomas Hirt is committed to building a relationship with his patients and helping them work toward good health now and in the future. Dr. Hirt believes that the physician-patient relationship is a team where both parties work together to reach the goal of better health.

A graduate of the University of Dayton, Dr. Hirt received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Hirt completed his residency at the Miami Valley Hospital and was the 2002 First Year Resident of the Year and later, Chief Resident.

Dr. Hirt has received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance in both their Heart/Stroke Recognition Program and in the Diabetic Physician Recognition Program. The programs were developed in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to recognize physicians who demonstrate that they provide high quality care for patients with diabetes and patients with cardiac conditions or who have had a stroke.

Board Certified in Family Practice, Dr. Hirt is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Montgomery County Medical Society. Dr. Hirt is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support and has special interests in epidemiology, sports medicine and preventative care.

Dr. Hirt is an avid U.D. Men's Basketball fan and plays basketball and softball regularly. He enjoys biking and running and competes in marathons, duathlons and triathlons. Dr. Hirt is married and resides in Beavercreek.
