Walter W. Keyes, M.D.
Dr. Walter W. Keyes, Board Certified in Family Practice, graduated from the Marquette School of Medicine in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and completed his internship at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Dr. Keyes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Practice, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Ohio Academy of Family Practice and the Montgomery County Medical Society.
Dr. Keyes has received recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance in their Diabetic Physician Recognition Program. This program was developed in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association to recognize physicians who demonstrate that they provide quality care for patients with diabetes. This recognition has been awarded for three years as of January 31, 2006.
Dr. Keyes was a Flight Surgeon in the 178th Tactical Fighter Group and a Commander of the 178th Tactical Fighter Group Clinic in Springfield, Ohio. Dr. Keyes has been an FAA Examiner, President of the Montgomery County Medical Society, Chief of Staff of the St. Elizabeth Medical Center and a Clinical Instructor at the Wright State School of Medicine.
Dr. Keyes believes strongly in treating, not only the disease, but the whole person, and strives to make this the underlying guideline of his work. He and his wife of 38 years, Patty, enjoy playing golf, ball room dancing and Pilates. They especially enjoy visiting their seven children and ten grandchildren. His favorite television show is The Antique Road Show and his favorite radio program is MY Word.
