John Lynch III, MD
John Lynch III, MD, has his board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine, Dr. Lynch is a general Cardiologist, with special interest in the fields of preventative Cardiology, heart failure, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
Dr. Lynch is retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he served most recently as Chief of Cardiology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center.
Dr. Lynch believes strongly in partnering with patients. “By developing a partnership with patients, I can structure treatment plans which maximize their quality of life, while limiting an individual’s anxiety,” said Dr. Lynch. An integral part of this approach relies on educating patients on their diagnosis and treatment plan, so they are comfortable and confident about their care.
In 2001, Dr. Lynch graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium.
Dr. Lynch’s professional experience includes a variety of leadership roles:
- He has been the Director of Non-invasive Cardiology Services and the Director of the Pacemaker/AICD Clinic at WPAFB.
- As an assistant professor, Dr. Lynch has taught at Wright State’s School of Medicine and the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Uniform Services University of Health Sciences. In 2004, he was awarded the Teaching Fellow of the Year at Wilford Hall Medical Center.
- His military medicine experience includes Operation Enduring Freedom in Bagram, Afghanistan, and aero medical evacuation following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
Dr. Lynch is a member of the American College of Cardiology, and he is licensed in Ohio to practice medicine. He and his wife have five children.
