Lina Mitchell, MD, FACP, FACE

Lina Mitchell, MD, FACP, FACE, is board certified in Internal Medicine, as well as Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.

The work of an Endocrinologist focuses on the endocrine glands, and how the hormones produced by glands interact with the body. The endocrine glands produce and secrete hormones to regulate the body’s metabolism, growth, development, reproduction and environmental response. Dr. Mitchell cares for adult patients with disorders of the Endocrine System. As an accomplished healthcare professional, she is dedicated to improving the health of her patients by preventing and minimizing the potential complications caused by Endocrinology conditions.

In 1987, Dr. Mitchell graduated from the Kaunas University of Medicine, in Kaunas, Lithuania. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati and a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook.

As a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology, Dr. Mitchell is recognized for dedication and contributions in the practice of medicine.

Most recently, Dr. Mitchell served as the Medical Director for Mercy Medical Associates in Liberty Township, Ohio. In addition to her providing patient care, Dr. Mitchell has made numerous scientific presentations, both locally and nationally, and is a sought-after speaker for community health events. She is also a member of several professional organizations and societies.

Born in Lithuania, Dr. Mitchell is fluent in English, Lithuanian and Russian. In addition to her love of travel, she enjoys movies and Broadway musicals. Dr. Mitchell has a grown daughter, who is currently in law school.
