Steven L. Schaerer, M.D.

Dr. Steven L. Schaerer graduated from Wright State University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Wright State University. Dr. Schaerer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton.

Board Certified in Family Practice, Dr. Schaerer is a member of the American Medical Association, the Ohio State Medical Association and the Montgomery County Medical Society.

Along with acute and chronic care, he has a great interest in preventive medicine. Dr. Schaerer has received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance in both their Heart/Stroke Recognition Program and in the Diabetic Physician Recognition Program. The programs were developed in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to recognize physicians who demonstrate that they provide high quality care for patients with diabetes and patients with cardiac conditions or who have had a stroke.

Dr. Schaerer lives in Centerville with his wife and two sons. He is very active with his children and volunteers his time with their activities in the Boy Scouts. He and his family enjoy the outdoors and all water related sports.
