Tushar N. Shah, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Tushar N. Shah received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Doctor of Medicine with Highest Honors from the University of North Carolina Medical School. Dr. Shah received his Internal Medicine training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina and completed his Cardiovascular Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he served as Chief Fellow for two years.
Dr. Shah is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Adult and Transesophageal Echocardiography. His specialized training in cardiac imaging gives him advanced methods of diagnosing heart functioning and disease using MRI and CT technologies. He will be among the first cardiologists in this region to offer these services.
Dr. Shah has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance in their Heart/Stroke Recognition Program. This program was developed in conjunction with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to recognize physicians who demonstrate that they provide quality care for patients with cardiac conditions or who have had a stroke.
Dr. Shah is a founding member of the Society for Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the Heart Failure Society of America and the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. He and was honored as “The 2004 Cardiovascular Provider of the Year” by the American Heart Association of Central Texas.
Dr. Shah resides in Centerville with his wife and three children.
