James F. Slaughenhaupt II, D.O.

Board certified in Family Practice, Dr. Slaughenhaupt cares for people of all ages, from children through senior adults. After receiving the Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, Dr. Slaughenhaupt completed his internship and residency at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center in Dayton.

He has worked as a Family Practice physician in a variety of settings, including as Chief of the Primary Care Clinic for the Patterson Army Health Clinic in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey during active duty with the U.S. Army. In addition, Dr. Slaughenhaupt was employed as a family physician with Southwestern Ohio Family Medicine in Franklin, Ohio; most recently, he practiced with the Franklin Medical Group and at Hometown Urgent Care in Dayton.

Dr. Slaughenhaupt is licensed with the Ohio State Medical Board and certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the Butler County Medical Society, Ohio Osteopathic Association and the Ohio State Medical Association.

Dr. Slaughenhaupt has received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance in the Diabetic Physician Recognition Program. This program was developed in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association to recognize physicians who demonstrate that they provide high quality care for patients with diabetes.

The father of four children, Dr. Slaughenhaupt lives in Waynesville, Ohio. He is active in coaching youth sports and serves as team physician for Carlisle High School. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.
