James J. Thomas, M.D.

As a board-certified family physician, Dr. Thomas has training and experience in caring for patients of all ages.

For many years, Dr. Thomas has practiced medicine in the U.S. military. Recently, he has served as medical director and chief of Primary Care Services at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. In 2004 and 2005, he was deployed to Iraq as medical training advisor to the Iraqi Armed Forces surgeon general.

Dr. Thomas earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1996. He completed his family practice residency, including chief resident, at St. Louis University in Belleville, Illinois.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry and minored in biology at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He graduated in 1991 with high honors. Dr. Thomas is licensed with the Ohio State Medical Board and the American Board of Family Practice.
