J. Michael Thuney, M.D.

Dr. J. Michael Thuney, Board Certified in Family Practice, graduated from Ohio State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in family practice at Good Samaritan Hospital and did a residency in general surgery at McKeesport Hospital in Pennsylvania. Dr. Thuney received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Thuney has received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance in both their Heart/Stroke Recognition Program and in the Diabetic Physician Recognition Program. The programs were developed in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to recognize physicians who demonstrate that they provide high quality care for patients with diabetes and patients with cardiac conditions or who have had a stroke.

Dr. Thuney is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Ohio State Medical Association and the Montgomery County Medical Society.

Dr. Thuney lives in Dayton with his wife and four children.
