Adolescent Obesity Study

Purpose:

Pediatric obesity is a prevalent health issue in the United States, impacting 20% of children and adolescents. Numerous elements can contribute to the accumulation of excess weight, such as behavior, genetics, and specific medication use. Additionally, societal and community factors play a crucial role, encompassing childcare, school settings, affordable and nutritious food availability, and convenient spaces for physical activity.

PriMED Clinical Research is hosting a study for an investigational drug to see if it can help adolescents lose weight along with a healthy diet and exercise.

What to Expect:

  • If you are between the ages of 12 -17, your health will be evaluated at each appointment by our research nurse and physician
  • All study-related care and evaluations will be at no cost to you or your insurance
