Pediatric Pneumococcal Vaccine

Streptococcus pneumoniae, is a bacterium that causes pneumococcal disease. These infections can range from ear and sinus infections to blood infections, pneumonia, and meningitis. Children under two years, are one of the age groups most vulnerable to this disease.

As of now, vaccines for pneumococcal disease protect infants against 13 strains of this bacterium. Since the creation of these vaccines, two additional strains have been on the rise, leading to an unmet need of broader pneumococcal disease protection.

If you plan on getting your child their routine vaccinations and would like to participate in a study, contact our PriMed Clinical Research team at 937-534-4242, or click the Sign-up now link below and complete the research inquiry form.
