Meet Dr. Alonzo Patterson III
Dr. Alonzo Patterson III is a dedicated pediatrician committed to serving the families of the Wright Dunbar District and beyond. As the first Chief Medical Health Equity Officer at Dayton Children’s Hospital, Dr. Patterson is a passionate advocate for equitable healthcare, working to ensure that all children receive the care they need to thrive.
Dr. Patterson completed his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and his residency at Columbus Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. With a strong focus on community health, he has been recognized for his efforts with honors such as the 2024 Great Futures Award from the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton and the 2025 Community Health Partner Award from Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Patterson is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Medical Association. His dedication to improving pediatric healthcare, both locally and nationally, makes him a trusted and respected leader in his field. He is currently accepting new patients.
