PriMED Clinical Research obesity/overweight study for those with type II diabetes
Study Name: J2V-MC-GZLF A Study of Macupatide (LY3532226) and Eloralintide (LY3841136), Alone or in Combination, in Adults With Obesity or Overweight and With Type 2 Diabetes
Purpose:
The purpose of this study is to investigate weight reduction with macupatide and eloralintide, alone or in combination, in adult participants with obesity or overweight and with type 2 diabetes. Participation in the study will last about 48 weeks.
A Phase 2, Parallel-Group, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study to Investigate Weight Reduction With Macupatide and Eloralintide, Alone or in Combination, in Adult Participants With Obesity or Overweight and With Type 2 Diabetes
If you have the following, you could be eligible for this study:
- Have type 2 diabetes
- Have an HbA1c ≥7.5% to ≤10.5% at screening
- Have been treated with any of the following, alone or in combination, for at least 3 months prior to screening
- Diet and exercise
- Stable dose of metformin
- Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor
- Have had a stable body weight (<5% body weight gain and/or loss) for the 3 months prior to screening
- Have a BMI of 27 or greater at screening

Who can participate?
Participants who qualify for this study:
- Are 18 years or older.
- Have a diagnosis of high blood pressure.
- Have a diagnosis of overweight or obesity (BMI of 25 or more).
How long will this study take?
This study will take about 70 weeks to complete.
What will happen in the study?
Study activities may occur at the study doctor’s office, your home, or other locations as specified for the study and as allowed by local law.
The study doctor will talk to you about the specifics for this study, covering topics such as:
- What current treatments can you continue
- How the study will be done, including what will be needed from you
- Answering any of your questions
- Small amounts of blood will be obtained from you for testing and monitoring purposes

Participants may receive compensation for their time and travel.
